Ending location: Florence Harbor Marina, Florence, AL. MM 256 on Tennessee River.

General summary: Foggy morning at Cooper Hollow.

For some reason, the Amazon orders we placed are taking 10 days to arrive at Grand Harbor, our next planned stop, so we are doing a little side trip East to see the town of Florence. Waylaid by a toilet seat. 🤷‍♀️ What can you do? The Florence marina was technically full this weekend, but they had one available non-transient spot where a C Dory had been for a month that was just vacated and planned to save that for us. Very nice of them to work us in. Little wind and calm waters getting there. After getting gas and tying up in our spot we walked into town and got some groceries. Then we returned to marina and checked out nearby McFarland Park, which parallels the river. Large frisbee golf area, grassy walkways, pine trees.

Ate dinner at the marina restaurant. Finally tried pickle chips for an appetizer, which we’ve been seeing on menus lately. Basically a salty excuse for dipping sauce, but glad we tried them.

Boater information: Florence marina uses Dockwa. Well marked entry. Very friendly and helpful staff. Diesel and non-ethanol gas, pump out, water, power, bathrooms, showers, laundry, restaurant.
