General summary: We decided to make a big push South considering there was a narrow good weather window. Aside from itching to get to Chicago to then start heading back down the Inland Rivers, we were tired of being hampered by weather. The marina in Pentwater was basic but met our needs and we didn’t spend much time in town, but got to experience one of the protected channels from Lake Michigan. There was a large sandy public beach, but a bit too cold for a comfortable swim.
