General summary: On to the next town where its claim to fame is the “mushroom houses” designed by Earl Young. He was heavily influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright and reportedly dropped out of the School of Architecture at the University of Michigan when the teachings there did not follow his philosophy. He never finished formal training, and taught himself through reading and discussion with tradesmen.

These houses are still privately owned and some can be rented out.
