Day 314 – 8/13/24

Starting location: Anchored by “The Benjamins” in North Channel, Ontario, Canada.

Weather: high 50s am, high 70s pm, sunny

Ending location: Anchored in Long Point Cove in Gwynne Bay, South of town of Sprague, Ontario, Canada.

Statute miles: 25

General summary: In search of another trail, we motored on to a well-protected cove where there were 3 sailboats and another power boat anchored, but plenty of room for us. Dinghied to a rock outcropping and climbed around, but no obvious trail.

That evening, it was as if a switch was flipped in both of our brains. It was time to start heading home. There are many other nice anchorages in the North Channel, but no more trails to be found. The nights were staring to cool and there were some deciduous tree leaves starting to change color. All these things seemed to agree with our plan. We decided to anchor tomorrow night at another island before leaving Canada and then head back to the USA.
