General summary: Trying to reach The Bustards again. We’ve nicknamed them “The Bastards”, not to be disrespectful, but because they have been so challenging to get to. What a difference a day makes. The wind speed had decreased further and the direction had changed from West to North, so there was less fetch, and therefore chop, in our location. Also, the small craft channel, known as “Hangdog Channel” as we turned NW from Bying Inlet was more protected again. Then, we exited out to the Bay going directly Westward and spied rows and rows of windmills behind us. With the wind we encountered the previous few days, that location makes complete sense. Near flat calm today. Made it easily to the cluster of small islands somewhat out in the open Bay. There is an area of navigable water in the center that made a perfectly protected anchorage for about a dozen boats. Took the dinghy down to explore the nooks and crannies. We were surprised to find that, even out here, there were a few small cottages.

The temperature and humidity have reduced significantly and we are comfortable in long pants again. More comfortable sleeping at night. I miss swimming, but there will likely be more opportunities before summer ends.
