General summary: Went on a nice hike at the State Park in the morning.

Staatsburgh Estate – encountered on our walk

Then, headed North on the Hudson River to Kingston.

The Hudson is lovely. Rocky sidewalls, increasing numbers of primarily deciduous trees, with hills and mountains in the distance.

Made it to Kingston. The “free” dock is now supposed to be used only for 2 hours for patrons, but we asked the restaurant owner if we could stay overnight and they let us since it was a weekday and they did not have any large events planned. Ate great BBQ there that night, on the deck looking out on the river, with our boat in sight. Cocoa was allowed to join. Quiet restful night.
