General summary: Wind and waves calmed enough that we were able to reach our North Bay goal for the time being. Wanted to go up the Gunpowder River (still on the Western Shore) to Saltpeter and Dundee Creeks and anchor near some state parks with trails. On examining the charts, however, it appeared we would have to cross through the Southern boundary of Aberdeen Proving Ground (Army) to get there. I tried to find out more details (looking at paper charts at the marina, asking locals, and calling the listed number for APG) but could not get a firm answer about any waterway restrictions. So, we just went there. No issues. As we passed the Patapsco River, we could see the Baltimore skyline in the distance and the container ship, Dali, that struck the Key Bridge in March. What a mess! Too far away for a good picture. Anchored on Dundee Creek and dinghied to land near where All Trails indicated a water entry to the trails. Found it!

Calm night at anchor. The next day we dinghied to the local marina and then walked into the small town of Chase. Got carrot cake from a local bakery.
