General summary: Got up in the dark for coffee and then quick dog walk on shore. Motored out at first light around 6am with the flotilla. Incredibly smooth passage through 4 locks. After the long wait and somewhat prickly lock operator at Pickwick Lock far behind us, it has been a pleasure to have such friendly operators on the Ten-Tom. Passed a short area in between Amory Lock and Aberdeen lock where it looked like multiple trees had been snapped in half and wondered if a tornado had come through here in the last few years. We really wanted to spend a night at anchor and found a branch in the river next to a campground that looked promising. Sad to say goodbye to the group, but we may connect again in the next few months, who knows. Thanks to the captains and crews of Coconuts, Encantata, 2nd Seabatical, Clean Cut, and Pivot 2.0! Anchored in 15 feet in sight of the campground with good swinging room. Took dinghy to shore and walked about. Mostly empty, but a few RVs could be seen in a side area. Bass boats jetted fast and close by (despite many no wake buoys) as we were eating dinner. Windy evening, but calmed by nighttime.
