Starting location: Pickwick State Park transient dock, TN
Weather: Full sun, not a cloud in the sky. 29 degrees in the morning. High in low 50s.
Ending location: Anchored in Cooper Hollow, MS, just past MM 217 on Tennessee River
Statute miles: Approximately 10
General summary: Coldest night and day so far. Frost on everything in the morning. As things warmed up slightly we hiked the trail in Pickwick State Park again in the reserve direction. We were the last boat to leave the marina. No rush as we planned to anchor a short distance away. Passed into water where three states converge. Exited Tennessee’s Southern border (still on Tennessee River) into area where Mississippi is on the West side and Alabama is on the East. Anchored in Cooper Hollow, facing a gentle waterfall, in 16 feet.

Boater information: Shoal on starboard side at entrance, so favor port a bit. Not a lot of swinging room for more than one boat. You’d have to do a shore tie, if so. There is a sturdy metal pole in the ground on shoal which might be there for that purpose. Sides around hollow are mostly steep-to.
