The Great Loop in a C Dory 25

Day 22 – 10/25/23

Starting location: Panther Bay, TN

Weather: Cloudy morning, sunny and mid 70s by afternoon.

Ending location: Trace Creek next to Pebble Island Marina, TN. MM 96 on Tennessee River.

Statute miles: Approximately 30

General summary: Anchor chain dragged on rocky bottom all night, so will only anchor so shallowly in future if absolutely necessary. Lovely sunrise again. Took dinghy to shore for another hike, about 5 miles. Pulled up anchor and had similar choppy ride to Trace Creek. Anchored West of marina in 6 feet. Found about 10 small ticks on Cocoa and none on us.

South fork is closer to trails. All Trails app is very helpful.

    I love All Trails. And Komoot!
    That’s a nice shot of your boat.
    And when a picture of a sunset looks as good as that, you know the colors were almost achingly amazing live.
