General summary: We had booked moorage for two nights, since we needed a break from long-distance motoring and there was a town to explore. There is a nice grassy area just up the gangway from the dock, which Cocoa appreciated that morning. Right beyond this is a stretch of beautifully painted murals, depicting different historical periods of the city. We were astonished at the absence of graffiti. We walked around the historic downtown area, but being Sunday everything was closed for the day. The National Quilt Museum, however, was open. Even if you are not into quilting, this is worth a visit. All the quilts are donated after a committee decides if it meets rigorous selection criteria. They are from all over the world. There are rotating exhibits (stars and stripes, fairy tales, weather depictions while I was there). Some amazing work. While I was there, Tom walked to the local library (which was fortunately open for a few hours on a Sunday) twice to use the Wifi to update our Navionics chip. Not successful, unfortunately. Will try again tomorrow with marina Wifi and tech support.

Boating information:
A city employee stops by during the day. You can schedule gas/pump out before 3pm when you see them, or call in advance. The contact number is listed on a sign. There is electricity and water on the docks.
